I Told You So Today I feel like vindicated for my last blog "Agriculture Middlemen in Punjab Hold the Actual Keys?" since I read about central govt's decision through Food Corporation of India(FCI) to Punjab govt to facilitate land records of farmers in it's state who sell their produce at Minimum Support price(MSP). Actually FCI intends to make direct online payments to farmers benefiting from MSP . The commission to Arhtiyas as per APMC act will be duly paid separately. But the arhtiyas in Punjab have decided to protest against this decision even if they are also paid their due commission on purchase by the government. Many among you must be surprised by the sudden behaviour of these middlemen. I would try to explain it in detail as possible..
